First let me promise you, there is no paper piecing involved. None. All you need is either a square or rectangular ruler. I promise. Here's the block!
Second, you can make this months block in EITHER yellow orange OR red orange this month. Get your free pattern here! It will be available for free through June 2019, at which point it will be bundled with the other blocks and settings and sold as a full pattern. Settings will be released in December.

Piecing Tips
When sewing the strips don't worry if the ends don't match up, we're trimming them off.
When you get to the instructions to fold in half, don't worry about the ends lining up.
If you have a 12 1/2" square, line up the 45 degree line on the pressed fold.
Trim two sides.
Rotate, line up the 45 degree line on the fold, and both cut sides with the ruler edge.
Trim last two sides.
If using a rectangular ruler, trim one side at a time, lining up the 45 degree line on the fold again.
Rotate once to the right. Line up the bottom of the ruler with the last cut, lining up the 45 degree on the fold again.
Turn to the right again. Measure from the cut corner 12 1/2" and make a mark.
While lining up the 45 degree line on the fold, line up the ruler on the marked 12 1/2" spot. Trim the 3rd side.
Repeat for the forth trim. As long as you measure carefully your square should measure 12 1/2" or 6 1/2".
Rotate once to the right. Line up the bottom of the ruler with the last cut, lining up the 45 degree on the fold again.
Turn to the right again. Measure from the cut corner 12 1/2" and make a mark.
While lining up the 45 degree line on the fold, line up the ruler on the marked 12 1/2" spot. Trim the 3rd side.
