Here she is! Let It Snow. This quilt was so fun to figure out. There was a lot of math involved, but I think it turned out so pretty and I love the simplicity of the look.

If you don't have a local quilt shop Fabrics Plus in Marshall MN has copies and I know they do phone orders.  We've seen brick and mortar shops closing all over, I would love for you to support yours by getting your copy from them.

Will you be making Let It Snow?

Happy Stitching!

Introducing Quilt Crush

Who is ready for a new pattern?!

Me! Technically it's not completely new, but it's new with more sizes. That counts, right?

Large squares means means lots of space to show off large prints and/or beautiful quilting.

Or use the middle squares to fussy cut some pretty prints.

Quilt Crush is beginner friendly and comes with instructions for making the HST larger and then trimming them down.

This pattern looks great in all color combinations, lets take a look at what the testers did.

Tester's Quilts

Denise chose pink as her accent color and classic black and white for her HST.

Beverly has a fun print for her center squares.

Joanne says these colors were out of her comfort zone, but how pretty and soft is this quilt?

I love the waves you get in the larger sizes by the HST units. You can see them really well in Janice's sweet quilt.

The lovely fall colors in Sherry's quilt make me want to curl up with a good book.

Joyce also chose black and white for her HST, but her white has an awesome black print as well that is fantastic.

Sheila's quilt takes on a scrappier look with the different blues used on her squares.

Kathy's quilt is based off the original drawing I had for this pattern. It's pretty cool to see it come to life.

Gina's version using some jewel tones makes me want to make another in all dark colors.

Patti's has that "team colors" vibe going on. To see how I used this pattern for a college quilt read THIS POST.

Melva's quilt was part of  the Nifty Novelties Prints Blog Hop. Thomas the Train photos taken by Alma Hardy.

Thomas was a huge part of my boys life, in fact they have quilts using that print in the middle squares.

Get your Quilt Crush pattern today! It's on sale all week for $8.00.

November Color Challenge - Yellow

Who is thankful that it is November?

If you are new to the 2019 Monthly Color Challenge you can hop over quick to read through the introduction and also see the colors coming up in the months ahead.

This month's flower inspiration is the Black Eyed Susan. Such a simple yet beautiful flower. This flower just makes me happy.

Are you a beginner? For this month's blocks you might find these posts helpful:

For this months block you will need:

Mat
Rotary cutter
Ruler
Marking pen/pencil

Specialty rulers that are NOT required, but helpful:

A great group of bloggers joins us each month. Please make sure to visit each one and see their blocks and read their stories.

This is a great way to meet new quilty bloggers!

Tips

I never trim my blocks, but if you are a trimmer I recommend waiting until all of your blocks are pieced and then trimming them all at once. Your goal is to have 12 1/2" unfinished blocks. I don't trim because I don't want to lose my points and since we make the units that makeup the block larger and trim them down, you should be fairly close to the correct size. If you are off 1/8 of an inch or less I really discourage trimming. If you are off 1/4 of an inch then instead of trimming I would suggest taking a look at your seam allowance and cutting, because trimming will definitely cause you to lose the look of the block.

Ready for your free November Monthly Color Challenge block? Find it HERE. Remember there is a change this year and the block is available for free only through November 30th. Use #2019monthlycolorchallenge on social media so we can see your blocks.

**NEW** Each months set of instructions comes with a full video tutorial!
