April Goal recap

Sharing progress on my One Monthly Goal.

I am not entering the link up for April, because I was a day late getting my One Monthly Goal posted. I want to share though, to try and keep up with it. To see my April Goal you can read this post.  I've finished April's block, as well as one extra block and two Quilt of Valor Blocks. Since I didn't share March's blocks I'm adding those as well.

The March block for my local Block of the Month (BOM) class was made in purple.

It turned out gorgeous, and I don't just say that because it's my favorite color. Love that beveled unit.

The extra block I chose was from 20....12. Shhhhhh

It was a quick block and I love the Civil War reproduction prints.

I also made two QOV blocks for March, but apparently I didn't take a picture. I promise I made them though, because I had to turn them in to grab a couple more!

April's color is yellow for my LQS BOM.  It was a much needed burst of color for this month of snow.

It's a funky block that makes me smile.

The extra block was again from 2012 and used Civil War reproduction fabrics.

This one was a little more difficult and made me appreciate that there is now a ruler for that funky corner. Marking dots was not fun. ;)

I also finished two more QOV blocks.

I'm caught up with my sharing, and am determined to get May's goals listed on time. Side note: How is it May already?!

The link up for the April Monthly Color Challenge from Patterns By Jen is open until April 30th, so if you made something orange, go link up! Information in this post.

Happy Stitching!

One Monthly Goal - February Finish

I am joining in with the One Monthly Goal hosted by Elm Street Quilts.

My OMG is going to be the same all year long as I try to keep up with my LQS's BOM program. Find my original post HERE.

This month's color is blue, which ties in nicely with the 2018 Monthly Color Challenge, where the color is blue there as well. PS You can still link up something blue for a chance to win. Get February's block HERE, though you just need to make something blue, not the block provided.

The extra block I pulled from the pile is for December 2017. I'm kind of loving that both extra pulls have been from the same year, so I may decide to stick to 2017 and finish two quilts.

Here is the finished 2018 block. We are using the VBlock Trimmer from Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design. This is by far my favorite block to make, or at least a very close second to the Half Square Triangle.

Here is the finished December 2017 block. I love a good patriotic color way.

I'm looking forward to March and continuing to actually finish one thing each month.
Happy Stitching!
Jen
