2024 November Monthly Color Challenge Block

 I maybe should have chosen aqua to go with this years theme a little better, but you have full permission to choose that instead if you like.

Our challenge this month is inspired by tropical fish. Such beauty lays under the water, it's hard not to be inspired.

This month our color is teal and we look to the Gourami for our color inspiration.

From Fish Lab: The Gourami is native to Southeast Asia. It is a peaceful fish and is often kept with other peaceful fish such as the betta.Considered a labyrinth fish, it can breathe air from the surface of the water. The Gourami is a popular aquarium fish due to its beautiful colors like blue, yellow, orange, red, and brown.Gouramis eat larvae, small insects, and algae. They should also be fed a variety of vegetables such as spirulina, zucchini, and broccoli.

I'm using Benartex's "Burlap" fabric line. Their teals are breathtaking colors and so pretty in this block.

 Ready for the  block? A block after my own heart with those Half Square Triangle (HST) units. Add a couple of squares and you are done for the month. On with holiday sewing. 😂😨
